Awesome plugin Jon!

I was wondering maybe if this could be a new feature or if you had a quick code fix.

Some kind of search functionality or the option for the directory to be listed in alphabetical order.

Thanks so much!
Curtis

I'd donate for that feature, if you accept donations :)

When I activate WP Users plugin, it causes a database error in SimpleForums that adds [Page 1 of 0] to the top of the forum pages (according to help forum at SimpleForums).

When I deactivate the plugin, error disappears.

Is there any way to correct for the error?

Hi everyone!

First of all, thanks for the plugin, really solving my issue I needed for my page.
The only thing I cannot figure out how to costumize my users page. What I need is the users not under each other but side by side for instance like a table or something. I am a real rookie in coding so please dont reply:'u can do it in css' - if you could help me out with a few lines of codes and where to insert it it would be much appretiated. ( sry for my poor English :) )

Hi,

I've got a normal WP blog, which I'd like to move to Wordpress MU. But I'm having trouble getting the 'Wordpress Users' plugin to display only the users for the blog being looked at. At the moment it shows all the users registered on all blogs, rather than just the one I am looking at. Unfortunately I can't quite work out how to filter out the other users. The two options I can see are;

1) adding another clause to the SQL query, to require 'meta_key = wp_[blog id]_user_level', or
2) adding an 'if' clause somewhere using the built in functions like 'is_user_member_of_blog'.

I think the second one would work for both WP and WPMU, so I'd rather try that approach. Has anyone tried doing this themselves?

Cheers

Hello,
I'm a bit new to WordPress, and think I may lack an understanding of how this is supposed to work. I deactivated all plugins except the Ultimate Noindex Nofollow Tool, enter the page id of a page I don't want the search to find, and it still pops up when a word in it is searched for. What am I missing? Thank you very much for any assistance,

Hey there. First off... loving the plugin! A definite cure for a headache. I'm using it to show only the roles above subscribers so it isn't a very long list.

Because of that, I decided to use the photo and description options in directory view to pad the page a little more. The problem now is that it looks a bit cluttered. Is there a quick/easy way to input text based separators between users. So it looks something like -

[user photo here]
user#1

Description for user #1

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

[user photo here]
user#2

Description for user #2

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Is that possible? Easy?
Thanks in advance!

Hello - I know there are several questions here about how to add custom fields form other programs - is there any news on how to do that? Is it possible to edit the template somehow?

Also, I'd really like to give people the ability to email or contact someone from the User Profile view - that's information that is in their Wordpress profile. How can I add those fields?

And, is there a way to set a default image (the site default maybe?) if someone doesn't put a picture up? The format goes haywire without that.

Thank you -
Alexa

p.s. (I agree with post in forum that there really should be an opt in/out on this. Good for future release - thanks!)

Hi there, I was wondering how I can make the names of post / comment authors link to their Wordpress Users profile pages?

For example, is it possible to replace <?php the_author() ?> with something like <?php the_author_posts_link(); ?>

Unfortunately, <?php the_author_posts_link(); ?> doesn't do the job as it takes you to an archive of the author's posts, not the profile page generated by Wordpress Users.

This would be a nice feature to add to the plugin but if you can explain how to hard-code it that would be great.

Hi, I love you plugin very much. Thanks for that.

I have a question on the no-follow option.
First, I tried to enter the page id but the page is still "follow".
Then I entered the slug, but it is still "follow".
Here is the code,

<meta name="robots" content="noindex, follow"/>

Could you advise the best practice to make it no-follow?

p.s. I ccould make it noindex so the page id should be correct.

Hi,

I love the Wordpress Users plugin. It's been working perfectly for about a month now. I have version 1.1. Suddenly and without any changes being made that I am aware of making, the administrator, me, will not show on the designated page (About us). Every other user role shows: subscriber, contributor, author, and editor.

Any idea what I can do to correct this?

First, let me say I love this plugin. Once I got it working, it did everything promised.

I had problems in the beginning though. I'm developing a new WP site which will be pages only, no regular blog posts. I will have several pages I don't want found by SE.

At first, the plugin did not work at all. I had neither the noindex meta tag in my header, or the rel=noindex in the correct links. So I disabled all my other plugins, then it was ok. Turned the other plugins back on one at a time.

I found that after I enabled the Sociable plugin, that the
<meta name="robots" content="noindex, follow"/>
no longer showed up in my headers. Seems it was pre-empted by sociable's call for it's CSS style sheet.

Also, I thought the meta tag was supposed to be
<meta name="robots" content="noindex, NOfollow"/>

Any ideas?

Thanks,
http://backgroundacting.net/members
Problem is, when trying to go to page 2, page 3 etc… of users, there is a redirect to the login page instead.
I set my permalinks back to default and have same problem. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Please see the following page for plugin documentation.

http://kempwire.com/wordpress-users-plugin

I just released version 1.1. If you are upgrading from a previous version, please check your settings as they have changed.

Avatar and user description display are now optional, so you must enable them for them to show up.

Also, user description character limit can now be changed, so check that setting as well.

Please use this forum to report any problems you have, or give any feedback. Thank you.
