First, let me say I love this plugin. Once I got it working, it did everything promised.
I had problems in the beginning though. I'm developing a new WP site which will be pages only, no regular blog posts. I will have several pages I don't want found by SE.
At first, the plugin did not work at all. I had neither the noindex meta tag in my header, or the rel=noindex in the correct links. So I disabled all my other plugins, then it was ok. Turned the other plugins back on one at a time.
I found that after I enabled the Sociable plugin, that the <meta name="robots" content="noindex, follow"/> no longer showed up in my headers. Seems it was pre-empted by sociable's call for it's CSS style sheet.
Also, I thought the meta tag was supposed to be <meta name="robots" content="noindex, NOfollow"/>
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jim
